FFMA
The FFMA tests coffins and caskets to ensure best standards and impartiality are applied. The FFMA is the link between manufacturers/suppliers, funeral directors, and crematoriums. Coffins are tested to ensure there are no issues with handling, safety, pre-ignition, combustion, and ash volume.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
Founded in 1993, the FSC is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. The FSC was created to address concerns about deforestation and to deliver a trustworthy wood-labeling scheme. US Coffins’ products use wood sourced from well-managed, sustainable sources, and in cases where a wood type is threatened, we use only FSC wood.
ISO 14001 standard
The internationally recognized mark for the environmental management of businesses, ISO 14001 prescribes controls for activities that affect the environment. These controls include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste, and energy consumption.
